Welcome to the April edition of CartGenie News, our new monthly
newsletter dedicated to helping you get the most out of your online
business. We’ll cover various topics related to e-commerce and ways
to help you generate more business. Most of all, we’ll try to
keep the focus on how you can use CartGenie and the various services
we or others offer to most effectively build your
online business. |
What’s Going On
We’re
excited to announce the release of CartGenie 5.1! This release marks
another major upgrade. It includes many new features and enhancements that
help you sell more and make
daily administration easier. Initially we planned to make
this a much smaller upgrade and to release it sooner, but we had so
many requests we decided to spend more time and include more
features. Some of the new features include: e-gift cards,
value based shipping, the option to create multiple product catalogs, new
reporting, much improved import/export utilities, the ability to use CartGenie QBi in multi-user mode, and a lot of enhancements to existing
interfaces. To view the complete list of features and
enhancements check out the
CartGenie 5.1 Release Notes. We're
in the process of upgrading sites to CartGenie 5.1, so if you haven't
been contacted yet about the upgrade stay tuned because you will be shortly. |
Feature Spotlight
Every
minute you save processing an order is a minute you can use
somewhere else. This month we’re focusing our spotlight on CartGenie
QBi (QuickBooks Integration) because it saves you time processing
orders and eliminates invoicing errors. CartGenie QBi allows you to
send orders directly into QuickBooks in a matter of seconds. After
processing the order you click the “Send to QuickBooks” button in
the Billing Manager and CartGenie will create an Invoice, Sales
Receipt, or Sales Order depending upon your preference. Once the
transaction is complete, CartGenie will save the QuickBooks
reference number and date so that you can always come back and
verify that you sent the order to QuickBooks. Learn more

Build Your Business
If
there’s one thing we all want to do, especially in this economy,
it’s look at ways to drive more business. This month we’re going to
talk about leveraging the power of
Google Product Search to increase traffic at your online store. You can have all
your products listed in Google Product Search, which is used by
millions of people each month, and you can do it for FREE. You need
two things, a Google Account and a Google Feed, a file that includes
all your products and related information. CartGenie includes a
Google Feed at no additional charge. You’ll use your Google Account
to login to
Google Base
and configure your feed. In less than 48 hours you can usually have
your products displayed in Google Products. To learn more about the
steps required, check out the article in our
Knowledge Base. |
Spruce Up Your Site
You
don’t need to spend millions in order to take an order! With that
said, spending a little can sure make a difference, especially when
you ask a customer what they remember about shopping at a Web site.
Making your site attractive and memorable can mean more
sales. The more they remember the more likely they’ll be to
come back and shop again. If you’ve been thinking about sprucing up your site or
completely redoing it, check out our new
Web Design Packages. These packages are tailored to meet
your budget and include up to 3 free bonus hours of professional Web
design time. |
