The need
Vaquero Energy needed a custom system to track maintenance and efficiency for a field of more than 500 oil wells in Bakersfield, California.
The solution
J Street built WellWatch. When it went live it immediately flagged a well for testing that turned out to have a problem no one suspected, quickly proving its value.
How it turned out
WellWatch allows oil well operators and management to work from the same up-to-date information in a centralized SQL Server database, making it easy to find, sort and select wells that meet desired criteria.
WellWatch allows the oil well producer to enter and track all the information needed for each well, in an easy-to-use interface. We even integrated a data feed from automatic pump-off controllers that are installed on some wells.
Oil wells require a lot of expensive maintenance and testing, so it's important to know the productivity and service history of each well. WellWatch not only keeps a comprehensive history of each well, but also uses that history to suggest wells that should be tested next.
